Detailed Trek Route

The trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, followed by entering the Manaslu region.

The route splits toward Tsum Valley, passing through Jagat and Lokpa, leading into the sacred hidden valley.

Trekkers explore villages like Chumling, Chhokang Paro, and Nile, reaching Mu Gompa, the spiritual heart of Tsum Valley.

After exploring Tsum Valley, the route re-joins the Manaslu Circuit trail and continues through Deng, Namrung, and Samagaun.

Acclimatization hikes around Manaslu Base Camp and surrounding monasteries are included.

The journey then continues toward Samdo and Dharmashala before crossing the challenging Larke La Pass.

After the pass, the trail descends to Bimthang and ends at Dharapani.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola

Day 2: Machha Khola to Jagat

Day 3: Jagat to Lokpa (Tsum Valley entry)

Day 4: Lokpa to Chumling

Day 5: Chumling to Chhokang Paro

Day 6: Chhokang Paro to Nile

Day 7: Nile → Mu Gompa → Return to Nile

Day 8: Nile to Chumling

Day 9: Chumling to Deng (rejoin Manaslu Circuit)

Day 10: Deng to Namrung

Day 11: Namrung to Lho

Day 12: Lho to Samagaun

Day 13: Acclimatization Day in Samagaun

Optional hike to Manaslu Base Camp / Pungyen Gompa

Day 14: Samagaun to Samdo

Day 15: Samdo to Dharmashala (Larke Phedi)

Day 16: Cross Larke La Pass (5,160m) → Bimthang

Day 17: Bimthang to Dharapani

Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu


Accommodation During the Trek

Accommodation is in basic but comfortable tea houses and lodges run by local families. Rooms are twin-sharing with simple facilities and warm hospitality.
