The 7-day Annapurna Base Camp trek is a condensed but highly rewarding Himalayan adventure that takes you deep into the legendary Annapurna Sanctuary inside the Annapurna Conservation Area.
This trek leads to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), a natural amphitheater surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks such as Annapurna I (8,091m), Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South.
This itinerary is designed for fit trekkers with limited time who still want to experience one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking routes.

📅 Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
🗓️ Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)
Driving time: 6–8 hours (or optional 25-minute flight)
Your journey begins from the capital city, Kathmandu, heading west along the Prithvi Highway. The drive follows scenic river valleys, green hills, terraced farmlands, and small roadside towns.
As you descend toward Pokhara, the landscape opens up, offering glimpses of Annapurna and Manaslu ranges on clear days.
Pokhara is a beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna region.
Overnight: Pokhara (Hotel in Lakeside area)

🗓️ Day 2: Drive to Jhinu Danda → Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m)
Drive time: 2.5–3 hours
Trekking time: 4–5 hours
After breakfast, a jeep drive takes you from Pokhara to Jhinu Danda or Siwai, passing through Nayapul, Birethanti, and Kimche.
From Jhinu/Siwai, the trek begins through lush hills and stone steps toward Chhomrong, one of the most important villages in the Annapurna region.
Chhomrong is a large Gurung settlement offering spectacular views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.

🗓️ Day 3: Chhomrong to Himalaya (2,920m)
Trekking time: 6–7 hours
This is one of the most physically demanding days due to continuous ascent and descent. The trail drops down steep stone steps to Chhomrong Khola before climbing again toward Sinuwa.
From Sinuwa, the path enters dense bamboo and rhododendron forest, part of the rich biodiversity zone of the Annapurna region.
You pass Bamboo and Dovan before reaching Himalaya, a quiet settlement surrounded by steep cliffs and forests.

🗓️ Day 4: Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)
Trekking time: 5–6 hours
Today is the most important and rewarding day of the trek. The trail gradually opens as you ascend toward the Annapurna Sanctuary.
You first reach Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC), where the landscape becomes alpine and dramatic. From here, the valley widens, and snow-capped peaks dominate the horizon.
After a final gradual climb, you arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by a breathtaking 360-degree amphitheater of Himalayan giants.

🗓️ Day 5: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310m)
Trekking time: 6–7 hours
Wake up early to witness a magical Himalayan sunrise at ABC. The golden light hitting Annapurna and Machapuchare is one of the most iconic views in Nepal.
After breakfast, begin the long descent back through Machapuchare Base Camp, Dovan, and Bamboo.
The return journey feels completely different as you descend from alpine wilderness back into forested valleys.

🗓️ Day 6: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (Hot Springs) → Drive to Pokhara

The trail continues downhill through Sinuwa and Chhomrong, passing waterfalls, stone staircases, and forest paths.
From Chhomrong, descend further to Jhinu Danda, famous for its natural hot springs located beside the Modi Khola River.
Here, trekkers can relax and soak in warm healing waters before taking a jeep back to Pokhara.

🗓️ Day 7: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400m)
