The trail leaves the village behind and follows a rocky path through open hills and glacial valleys. There are no forests or vegetation now—only stone, ice, and towering mountains. The scenery feels raw and powerful, with massive peaks surrounding you on all sides.

As you gain altitude, the air becomes thinner and colder. You may feel your breathing getting heavier, so the pace remains slow and steady. This section is not about speed, but about careful walking and energy conservation.

The ascent is long and challenging. The path is covered with snow, rocks, and ice depending on the season. You walk step by step, breathing carefully due to high altitude.

As you climb higher, the views become more dramatic. You can see endless Himalayan peaks all around you.

From the top of Larke La Pass (5,160m), the view is unbelievable. You see:

After spending some time at the pass, you begin a long descent toward Bimthang.

This is your biggest achievement of the entire trek.
