Your adventure begins early in the morning as you depart from Kathmandu and drive toward the Manaslu region. Leaving the busy capital behind, the road follows the scenic Prithvi Highway alongside the Trishuli River, passing small towns, terraced farmlands, and picturesque rural landscapes.

After reaching Arughat, the journey continues along rough mountain roads through traditional villages and dense green hills. Along the way, you will witness everyday rural life, farmers working in terraced fields, and spectacular views of river valleys.

Upon arrival in Soti Khola, a small riverside settlement surrounded by forested hills, you will check into a teahouse and have time to relax after the long drive. In the evening, meet your trekking crew and enjoy a briefing about the upcoming days of trekking.

After breakfast, the trek officially begins. The trail follows the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through subtropical forests, waterfalls, and traditional Gurung villages. The path frequently ascends and descends along steep hillsides, offering exciting views of deep river gorges.

You will cross several suspension bridges and pass through settlements such as Lapubesi, where traditional stone houses and terraced farms provide insight into local village life. The trail then continues through forested areas and rocky sections before reaching Machha Khola.

After arriving, spend the evening exploring the village and observing the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

The trail then climbs through dense forests and rocky terrain, passing Doban and Thado Bharyang. As you gain altitude, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with towering cliffs rising above the river.

In the afternoon, arrive at Jagat, a beautiful stone-paved village that serves as the official entry point into the restricted Manaslu region. Here, trekking permits are checked before continuing deeper into the conservation area.

Philim offers impressive views of surrounding hills and serves as a cultural center for local communities. Beyond Philim, the trail becomes narrower and more remote as it winds through forests and rocky cliffs above the Budhi Gandaki River.

Crossing several suspension bridges, you eventually arrive in Deng, a small village where Tibetan cultural influences become increasingly visible.

As you trek through villages such as Rana, Bihi Phedi, and Ghap, you will encounter ancient mani walls carved with Buddhist prayers, colorful prayer flags, and traditional chortens. The architecture also begins to reflect stronger Tibetan influences.

The final ascent to Namrung rewards trekkers with breathtaking mountain views and a glimpse of the snow-capped peaks that dominate the northern horizon.

Today's trek is shorter but incredibly scenic. After breakfast, the trail climbs gently toward Shyala Village, considered one of the finest viewpoints on the trek.

From Shyala, enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding Himalayan peaks, glaciers, and alpine valleys. Continuing onward, you descend slightly before arriving at Samagaun, the largest village in the upper Manaslu region.

The afternoon can be spent exploring the village, interacting with local residents, visiting monasteries, and observing traditional Tibetan-influenced lifestyles.

Acclimatization is essential for safe trekking at higher elevations. Rather than resting completely, you will participate in an acclimatization hike.

A shorter alternative leads to Pungyen Gompa, a beautiful monastery situated beneath dramatic cliffs and glacial landscapes.

Following the hike, return to Samagaun for rest and overnight accommodation.

Samdo is one of the last permanent settlements before the Tibetan border and has long served as an important trading community.

This is the most demanding and rewarding day of the entire trek.

Before sunrise, you begin the ascent toward Larke La Pass. The climb is gradual but challenging due to the altitude. As dawn breaks, the surrounding mountains glow with spectacular colors.

Upon reaching the summit, enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of numerous Himalayan peaks, glaciers, and alpine landscapes. The prayer flags fluttering at the pass mark one of Nepal's most memorable trekking achievements.

After photographs and a short rest, begin the long descent toward Bimthang through glacial valleys and alpine meadows.
