From the summit of Yala Peak (5,732m), climbers are rewarded with breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Shishapangma (Tibet), and surrounding Himalayan ranges.

📅 Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary


🗓️ Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. Meet our team and transfer to hotel. Expedition briefing and equipment check.


🗓️ Day 2: Drive Kathmandu → Syabrubesi (1,460m)

Driving time: 7–8 hours

Scenic drive through hills, rivers, and terraced landscapes along the Trishuli River. Syabrubesi is the gateway to the Langtang region.

Overnight: Teahouse in Syabrubesi
Highlights: River valley drive, countryside views


🗓️ Day 3: Trek Syabrubesi → Lama Hotel (2,480m)

Trekking time: 6–7 hours

The trail follows Langtang Khola through forests, waterfalls, and suspension bridges.

Overnight: Lama Hotel
Highlights: Dense forest, wildlife, river trail


🗓️ Day 4: Lama Hotel → Langtang Village (3,430m)

Trekking time: 5–6 hours

Gradual ascent into alpine region. Rebuilt Langtang village offers beautiful mountain views and strong local culture.

Overnight: Langtang Village
Highlights: Tibetan-influenced culture, mountain scenery


🗓️ Day 5: Langtang Village → Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)

Trekking time: 3–4 hours

A short and scenic walk to Kyanjin Gompa, the main acclimatization hub of the region.

Overnight: Kyanjin Gompa
Highlights: Monastery visit, glacier views, yak cheese factory


🗓️ Day 6: Acclimatization Day at Kyanjin Gompa

Optional hikes:

  • Kyanjin Ri (4,773m)
  • Tserko Ri viewpoint (5,000m+)

This day is important for altitude adaptation before the climb.

Overnight: Kyanjin Gompa
Highlights: Panoramic Himalayan views, glacier exploration


🗓️ Day 7: Trek Kyanjin Gompa → Yala Peak Base Camp (4,800m)

Trekking time: 4–5 hours

Gradual climb toward the base camp of Yala Peak. The terrain becomes rocky and glacial.

Overnight: Tent camp / Base Camp
Highlights: Glacier landscape, high-altitude environment


🗓️ Day 8: Summit Yala Peak (5,732m) → Return to Base Camp

Climbing time: 8–10 hours

🏔️ The most important day of the expedition. Early morning ascent to the summit of Yala Peak Summit.

From the top, enjoy panoramic views of:

  • Langtang Lirung
  • Dorje Lakpa
  • Shishapangma (Tibet)

After summit, descend back to base camp.

Overnight: Base Camp

🗓️ Day 9: Base Camp → Kyanjin Gompa

Trekking time: 4–5 hours

Descend back to Kyanjin Gompa through alpine landscapes.

Overnight: Teahouse

🗓️ Day 10: Kyanjin Gompa → Lama Hotel

Trekking time: 6–7 hours

Return through forests and river valleys.

Overnight: Lama Hotel
Highlights: Forest trekking, riverside walk


🗓️ Day 11: Lama Hotel → Syabrubesi

Trekking time: 5–6 hours

Final trekking day back to road head.

Overnight: Syabrubesi
Highlights: Last trail experience, local villages


🗓️ Day 12: Drive Syabrubesi → Kathmandu

Driving time: 7–8 hours

Return to Kathmandu and end of expedition.
