About This Tour

The Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek is one of Nepal’s most spectacular and less-explored trekking adventures, taking travelers deep into the remote and culturally rich Rolwaling Valley. Nestled at an altitude of 4,580 meters, Tsho Rolpa is one of the largest glacial lakes in Nepal, renowned for its stunning turquoise waters, dramatic mountain scenery, and pristine alpine environment. This trek offers a perfect combination of natural beauty, traditional Sherpa culture, and authentic Himalayan wilderness away from the crowded trekking routes.

Organized by Nepal Tour & Treks Pvt. Ltd., the journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the Dolakha region before following ancient trails through charming villages, dense rhododendron and pine forests, suspension bridges, rushing rivers, and high mountain valleys. Along the route, trekkers experience the unique lifestyle, traditions, and warm hospitality of the local Sherpa and Tamang communities who have preserved their culture for generations.

One of the major highlights of the trek is reaching the breathtaking Tsho Rolpa Lake, surrounded by glaciers, rugged peaks, and untouched Himalayan landscapes. The trail also offers magnificent views of mountains such as Gaurishankar (7,134m), Melungtse, Chekigo, and other peaks along the Nepal-Tibet border. The peaceful environment, combined with the region’s spiritual atmosphere and dramatic scenery, creates a truly unforgettable trekking experience.

Unlike the busier trekking regions of Nepal, the Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek provides a sense of solitude and adventure, making it ideal for travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path Himalayan journey. With carefully planned acclimatization days and professional guidance from Nepal Tour & Treks Pvt. Ltd., trekkers can safely explore one of Nepal’s hidden gems while enjoying breathtaking mountain views, rich cultural encounters, and the beauty of one of the country’s most remarkable glacial lakes.
